COLUMBUS NEWS NOTES By Mrs. Edward H. Staggs. Mr. and Mrs. John Holmes of Texas and Mr. and Mrs. Troy Jackson and son, Barry, of Green Creek were guests of Mrs. J. A. Feagan Tuesday. Larry Wilson, student at Spring field College, Springfield, Mass., is spending the Christmas holidays with Mrs. J. A. Wilson. The Out Look Club has a Nativity scene at the Columbus court house which is life size and very inspirational. A large number of Columbus people attended the Musical Fes tival at the Spartanburg Memo rial Auditoriuih Sunday afternoon which they report was very in spirational. The Women of the Presbyterian Church met Tuesday night at the home of Mrs. J. W. Gantt. Mrs. R. R. Harris of Try on was pro gram leader. Mrs. Mollie Shields and Mrs. J. A. Wilson attended the wedding of Kay Wilson at Fort Jackson on Friday. The Stearns school will give a Christmas program Thursday eve ning at 8 in the school auditor ium!. Pu|blic invited. The Columbus Baptist Church will hold their Christmas and eandlelighting program at 8 p. m., at the church. The puhJ^V-, in vited. W)” The Out Look Club met Wednes day aftern9on with Mrs. Robert McFarland. During the meeting plans were completed for the Christmas party which will be at Mrs. J. A. WilsonV on Friday night.
